Description
Built using authentic U.S. blueprints (often on machinery sourced from Winchester), the Beretta M-1 features the classic .30-06 Springfield chambering, an 8-round en bloc clip capacity, and the iconic "ping" upon ejection.
SpecificationsÂ
- Caliber: .30-06 Springfield
- Barrel Length: 24 inches
- Action: Gas-operated, semi-automatic
- Capacity: 8-round en bloc clip
- Overall Length: 43.5 inches
- Weight: Approx. 9.5 lbs (unloaded)Â
Characteristics
- Superb Recoil Management: The semi-automatic action and heavy weight heavily mitigate the otherwise stout .30-06 kick.
- Legendary Iron Sights: Features some of the finest, most rugged aperture (peep) sights ever put on a military rifle.
- Historical Authenticity: Beretta-manufactured Garands (alongside Breda) are esteemed by collectors for their historical significance following World War II.
- Natural Handling: The solid wood-and-steel construction balances beautifully and points quickly.Â
The Beretta M-1 Garand "FKF" is a highly collectible international contract M-1 manufactured in Italy during the 1950s for the Danish military. These rifles are highly prized by collectors for their unique European arsenal markings, exceptional Beretta craftsmanship, and historical service life.Â

Key Features and Markings
- Danish FKF Stamp: Receivers are stamped with a Danish crown over FKF (Forsvarets Krigsmateriel Forvaltning, the Danish Defense War Materiel Administration) along with the rifle's serial number.
- Beretta Proofs: These were built by Pietro Beretta in Rome. Their receivers and internal parts feature the PB (Pietro Beretta) stamp, making them distinct from Springfield or Breda (BMR) contract rifles.
- Military Furniture: Typically configured with a three-piece military walnut or birch stock set, traditional adjustable peep sights, and a milled trigger
- Valuable: Because relatively few (estimates often cited around 10,000) were produced for Denmark, finding an original example in excellent condition commands a premium.
