Conversion and Operation Details
- Base Rifle: Built on the Model 1889 Schmidt-Rubin whose stright-pull rear-locking action makes it a unique addition to the casual collector of World-War firearms.
- Chambering: Adapted to fire the commercial .30-30 Winchester (.30 WCF) cartridge, via a chamber sleeve or insert because the .30-30 has a smaller case head and shorter length than the original military round.Â
- Sporterization: The standard military-style stock has been modified to create a handier brush gun for North American deer hunters.
